I was writing about
conscious capitalism
while running unconscious.
For nearly two decades, I worked inside some of the most ambitious organizations in the world — Fortune 500 companies, Silicon Valley start-ups, executive teams navigating growth, conflict, and the particular loneliness that comes with leadership at scale.
I was good at it. Forbes contributor. FastCompany board member. The person organizations called when the culture wasn't working and nobody could figure out why.
And then I nearly ran myself into the ground doing it.
The pivot wasn't a rebrand. It was a reckoning. I realized that the work I was doing for organizations — helping leaders get honest, get grounded, get conscious — was the same work I needed to do for myself.
What came out the other side is MTO Agency as it exists today. Smaller. More intentional. Working with a small number of organizations at a time. Bringing the full depth of what I know — the neuroscience, the somatic work, the two decades in the room — to leaders who are ready to lead differently.
